[Personal] Nanowrimo 2017

Halfway through and I just hit my word count for today. I'm working on a fanfiction but next year I'll probably work on an original fiction. I'm posting this just because who knows when I'll go back and look through my posts.

I'm feeling so accomplished this year, last year I didn't even make it this far or this many words. I think it was just about 14k last year. It was also a fanfiction but who cares. I love writing fanfiction and it's a plot bunny I've had for a while.

Hey all,

So I should be writing, and I guess technically I am right now but for the moment I just wanted to post my frustrations at not being able to focus fully on one fic at a time. It's so annoyingly frustrating.

I signed up for a bingo card at seasonofkink but I have only a week to get it done. D":

I have one fic mostly done and the others (working on a diamond here) well they are in various stages of doneness. But I'm not sure I'll get them done. I'll probably still post them even after the challenge is over but I guess we'll see how it goes. One or two are actually one-shots for longer fics that I'm working on. Shhh tell no one.

But hey, 1 out of 8 within a few days is really good for me. Let's try and finish this!

[Personal] Moving is hard

So we did end up moving, and its to a lovely place and it is wonderful so far but unpacking is almost more hell than packing everything up.But it is what it is. All the animals are settling in nicely. Panda sleeps in a nice cozy corner of my room.

I also got some Pajama Sam, Putt-Putt and Freddi Fish to play. I'm excited to start. But first I need to post some of the stories I have already finished. I recently just finished one with achromancy. She's really amazing and you should check out her fic Blue Jazz (http://archiveofourown.org/works/10074239/chapters/22447460).

[Personal] Moving

So it has been decided. We are moving, by September 1st. Then I will have internet access at all times and will hopefully feel more inclined to join back up on VF and then work on some graphics. It will be nice having a new change of pace.

Ah I can't wait, even though I am hella anxious. It will be okay though, I'm sure it will be amazing and if it isn't... well it is not going to be forever.

*runs in circles* There will be animals. Goats, Chickens, Dogs, Cats, Horses, Mules, Sheep. Yay for animals. Plus we get to bring our animals too.

There's Panda (Shes my dog), Little John (that's my aunt's dog), Albert (my cousin's cat), and Regina or Reggie (cousin's snake). It will be awesome I'm sure. I', determined to make sure it's good.

In other news, been playing Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning. But I can't romance Grim! Why not? I want Grim Onwig to call me little dove all the time. <3

I have to admit at being really excited to move! Even if we aren't moving far it will be a new adventure! Hopefully with a new move and a new environment I will be more inspired to continue to write.

[Personal] So.... Writing Problems

Hello all! My first post here on dreamwidth and I'm actually pretty excited. I figure I'll just put down what comes to me and see where I go from there.

So first things first. I'm Kas or you can call me Kitten. I am currently twenty-four years old. My favourite colour is green. I'm from Canada, well originally from the States but moved up here when I was a teen and I love it here.

I'm a writer currently. Or I'm trying to be. I can never get more than 20K words into a story, though I am trying desperately and its so very frustrating. I have only published 3 one shots but I wish I could focus to make more. I beta read for my cousin who is working through a Fallout Fanfiction (her third edit), and I get frustrated because I feel as if I can't keep up with her.

I know, I know. It's not a competition but I wish I was as focused and dedicated as her, she is so determined to finish her fic that she works on it every day. Yet I can't find the same drive to work. I can only write for 20-30 minutes before I can't focus anymore. Or I love what I'm working on and then another plot bunny comes to beat me up until I write it and I can't work on my previous one until I get this plot bunny situated.

Anyway... rant done. Time to go struggle through some more writing.
